Quiet ambigious feelings about the German Rüdiger Nehberg in respect to anthropology but still one of the adventurers giving up-to-day and sometimes valuable information about indigenous people in the Amazone. The ritual is called quarup, and this one is one of the biggest they've ever made. Villas Bôas, who died with 88, was the eldest survivor of four brothers who devoted their lives to contacting and documenting the native peoples of the Brazilian Amazon and 'protecting them from the onslaught of modern civilization' and thus became an especially revered figure here. ...
