Dept. of fieldwork, Okyeampoma, July 17, 2003 at 10:01:09 PM CEST Today's Fascinating Video from 'Fieldwork'... Greetings from Accra! It took us three internet cafes and countless attempts to upload this story... S./G. 'Cherchez le Chercheur' No. X Students in Ethnology/Social Anthropology must travel the world. Or re-visit their 'field' (along with an observer). At least, that's how we think it should be... Here comes our first sign of life from our semester break trip, taken on the 11th of July in Accra-Jamestown (Ghana). For a more lively account of how much fun traveling can be, look up this video[1] (video/x-ms-asf, 316 KB) ... Watch carefully and ask yourself what-in-the-world a German police man is doing in Africa. ... Comment

All of you who listened to his elaborated speech in the weekly colloquium might be surprised... well, i am paid for NOT telling, obliged to keep silent. Finally I learned that a sustainable construction of the field is the best guarantee for a successful thesis. ... Link ... Comment

(P.S.: If anyone want's to publish huge video material (should at least of some remote anthropological interest), we may store it on the instituts web server. Just mail me. ) ... Link
