Water, one of the resources we depend most on, has always never been a marginal topic in any society in history. There are indicators that it might be one of the most fought about resource in our close future, if it isn't already the case. Anthropologists cannot miss to pay their attention on something so central and yet so diverse.

Water&Culture, an anthropology weblog exlusively for topics around the cultural use of and views on water has been launched this week. The blog is open to contributors who are invited to write about anything concerning social, political and cultural aspects of water, for example anthropological aspects of water privatization, development, resource management, environment but of course also any other water-related topic is very welcome.
