Triggered by former entry on usage of terms ´Eskimo and ´Inuit, contemporary uses of term nigger vs. nigga come into mind. Every anthropologist is aware of the historically derived discriminating and racist usage of term nigger, when used intensionally to express white supremacy and used as a means to call someone names--but are we equally aware of it`s counterappropriations ?
What does it mean, when whites call themselves niggaz? What does it mean, when blacks call themselves niggaz? What does it mean, when moslems call themselves niggaz? What does it mean when germans call themselves niggaz? What does it mean when an afro-german calls a non-afro-german nigga.

And does this do anything to the term nigger ?
