Eine Studentin hat mich vor ein paar Tagen gefragt, mit was man am besten Tonaufnahmen in der Feldforschung machen soll. Weil die Frage bereits öfters aufgetaucht ist, poste ich die Antwort an sie mal hier. Sie wollte zwar vor allem Geräuschaufnahmen machen, aber ich erkläre in dem Text auch, was man braucht, wenn man Interviews machen will.

Ein gebrauchtes Minidisc-Gerät bei Ebay ist in jedem Fall das billigste und brauchbarste Gerät zur Aufnahme. Mp3- und Wav-Recorder taugen nur in Ausnahmefällen etwas, sind aber in jedem Fall schlechter, außer sehr professionelle Flashrecorder ab 600 Euro. Ich habe einen Sharp MD-SR70, den ich sehr empfehle, weil (weiterlesen)man bei ihm während der Aufnahme aussteuern kann und außerdem wenn man auf Aufnahme drückt, automatisch einen neuen Track beginnt. Bei einigen Sony-Geräten nimmt der dann nämlich auf denselben Track wie vorher auf, wenn man vergisst, vorher ein weiter zu gehen. Andere Sharp-Recorder sind sicher auch ähnlich gebaut.

Das Micro sollte sicher gut sein, aber du willst ja keine Rundfunk-Qualität, sondern nur was aufnehmen und dann abspielen. Bedenke, dass viele Geräusche ganz anders klingen, wenn man sie aufnimmt, vor allem Wind und Regen. In Hörspielen werden diese Geräusche alle künstlich produziert.

Du benötigt ein sogenanntes dynamisches Mikrofon, denn die Kondensatormikrofone benötigen eine zusätzliche Energiespeisung. Elektret-Mikro gehen auch, brauchen aber mehr Strom vom Minidisc-Gerät

Du musst dich entscheiden, welche Charakteristik das Micro haben soll, also, ob es sozusagen wie ein Photoobjektiv Weitwinkel oder Makro aufnimmt. Es gibt Kugelcharakteristik, das ist gut, wenn man Interviews macht, weil dann kaum Störgeräusche drauf sind. Autos, Kinder etc. in der Umgebung sind kaum mehr zu hören. Mit denen kann man auch ganz gut Atmosphäre aufnehmen, wenn man höher aussteuert, weil die von überall um sich herum den Ton mitnehmen. Niere ist nicht so gut, weil die gezielt nur das Aufnehmen, was von vorne kommt, bis hin zur Superniere, das sozusagen ein Ricktmikrofon ist. Also, du brauchst in jedem Fall Kugelcharakteristik (hat aber nix mit dem Aussehen zu tun). Am besten ein sogenanntes Reportagemikrofon nehmen, die sind für Interviews und Atmo-Aufnahmen bestens geeignet. Ich hab ein AKG D-230 für 160.- Euro.

Beachte, dass du mit normalen Mikrofonen nur Mono aufnehmen kannst. Wenn du Stereo aufnehmen willst, kannst du das praktisch nicht mit einem Mikrofon in der Hand, da muss man fast schon Tontechniker sein, um die richtig zu positionieren. Was aber sehr gut funktioniert und für reine Geräuschaufnahmen (oder unauffällige Gesprächsaufnahmen, so dass nicht gleich alle Kinder am Platz um einen herumstehen, weil sie denken, man ist vom Rundfunk) faszinierende Ergebnisse bringt, sind Inohrmikrofone, die man sich links und rechts ins Ohr steckt wie Ohrhörer. Die nehmen dann sehr realistisch Stereo auf (das allerdings dann nur bei der Wiedergabe mit Kopfhörern sehr gut klingt, bei Lautsprechern nur mittelmäßig). Wenn du damit aufnimmst und den Leuten dann Kopfhörer aufsetzt zum anhören, ergibt sich ein umwerfender Realitäteffekt, und das käme deinen Zweck zu Gute, wenn ich dich recht verstehe. Aber Interviews kannst du mit denen auf keinen Fall machen, da hast du jedes Auto, dass vorbeifährt, saulaut mit drauf.

Wer Aufnahmen nur für die Auswertung daheim benötigt und nicht zu Vor- oder Aufführung, der kann wahlweise mit Minidisc oder mit einem MP3-Recorder aufnehmen. Man muss allerdings darauf achten, dass der Recorder nicht nur in Voice-Qualität aufnehmen kann, das reicht nicht aus, um eine fremde Sprache zu verstehen. Ein günstiges Mikro ab 20. -Euro sollte für diesen Zweck reichen, auf Kugelcharakteristik sollte man aber achten. Ich in diesen Preisklassen aber keine Erfahrung.

Als Software benutze ich Cool Edit 2000, was exakt für meine Zwecke ausreicht.

The research network is funded for three years to study the role and significance of religion in modern Asian politics. The PhD scholar will be enrolled as a PhD student at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Aarhus, with the aim of completing a PhD degree at the Institute of Anthropology, Archaeology and Linguistics, University of Aarhus. The PhD scholar will be affiliated with The Danish Research School in Anthropology.

The PhD scholar will be employed by the University of Aarhus. The terms of employment as a PhD scholar will be in accordance with the agreement of 11 January 2006 between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on PhD scholarships.

The PhD scholar may count on the place of work being the Institute of Anthropology, Archaeology and Linguistics/Department of Anthropology and Ethnography . In general, the student is expected to be present at the institute on an everyday basis.
